New Years Countdown: 2010
Well the only game to report for this year… HG/SS!
The highly-anticipated remakes for G/S were released March 14th, and are possibly my favourite Pokemon games to date. The updates graphics and music were fantastic, and the whole entire games were amazing.
I really loved the Pokemon being able to follow you feature. It made traveling through Johto ten times better, and the sprites were...

degrassidot asked: Question: WHY ARE YOU NOT PLAYING PROFESSOR LAYTON
I’m bored.
You people should like ask me questions or something.
New Years Countdown: 2009
( Note: Shadows of Almia was released in 2008… but seeing as how I haven’t finished that yet, I really can’t give a proper review on it.)
Almost up-to-date, 2009 brought in two more games for Pokemon. The first was Platinum, the “sequel” or rather third part to the Sinnoh series.
Rawr.
I for one favour Platinum over the other two. All the additions were great,...
New Years Countdown: 2007
2007 ushered in the 4th generation of Pokemon games, Diamond and Pearl.
While 4th gen gets a lot of negative opinions, I personally loved them as much as I loved any other generations. Some of the Pokemon weren’t so great (looking at you, Bronzor line) and some of the music wasn’t as great, but the games were still very good.
I thought Sinnoh was a great region, and definitely very...
New Years Countdown: 2006
( Note: PMD came out in 2006 in America, but 2005 in Japan… it’s too late to fix everything, but at least there’s other games that came out in 2006 to cover. So sorry for the mix up. )
The second spin-off series, Pokemon Ranger, was released, bringing a whole other new format of Pokemon gaming.
Again, you weren’t a Pokemon trainer. As the title suggests, you were a...
New Years Countdown: 2005
( Due to the fact New Years Eve is on Friday, I’ll be squeezing in the last few years over the next few days. Sorry! )
Debuting in 2005 brought one of the best spin-off series in the Pokemon Franchise. (In my opinion, anyway.)
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue team were released for the DS and GBA. Blue for the DS, and Red for the GBA.
You weren’t a trainer this time -...

New Years Countdown: 2004
2004 introduced three new games to the Pokemon franchise - two of which spurred interest in old time fans.
FireRed and LeafGreen were released, which were remakes of the original games that had came out in 1999. Kanto was brought back in a splash of vivid colour and remastered music. A female trainer was able as well, who was dubbed “Leaf”. The storyline pretty much remained the...
Plot hole Monday
Okay guys, let’s play a game!
Who can spot what’s wrong with the picture?
Black/White US release date!
The new games come out March 6th in the US! Along with that, Serebii also released some names and the US trailer
Names:
Munna keeps its Japanese name
Gear is changed to Klink
Chillarmy goes to Miccino
Gigaiath goes to Gigalith
Shimama goes to Blitzle (okay, I admit, that’s cute)
Hihidaruma goes to Darmanitan
Mamepato goes to Pidove
Black City and White Forest keep their names, the...
Pokemon of the Week
This week’s Pokemon is a long time favorite of mine.
-drumroll-
Espeon! One of my favourite psychic types, Espeon was one of the new Eevolutions to be brought up in the second generation. Espeon has monster special attack, like many other psychic types. It was already awesome in 2nd and 3rd gen, and the 4th gen helped it even more, move set wise.
I’ve always used Espeon whenever...
So I'm soft reseting on Platinum
in hopes of getting a shiny Giratina. I’m crazy, guys. :’D
From my blog to all:
Though I don’t celebrate, I wish to all my followers who celebrate Christmas a very merry one! Enjoy the time with your family and I hope you get what you asked for.
New Years Countdown: 2003
Skipping over 2002 because nothing really came out…
2003 brought the 3rd generation into the world of Pokemon. Ruby and Sapphire were the first games to be released on the GBA, and were definitely a huge hit. I remember the exact moment I got these games, too.
Hoenn had both negative and positive views. The region itself was fantastic, each town and city having unique quirks for each of...
Nostalgia Thursday: Pikachu's Goodbye
probably one of the most saddest episodes in pokemon history
The gang’s currently relaxing in a forest, and Ash is seen swinging on vines, and then crashing into a tree. …normal day for him. While Pikachu goes to check on him, he sees a baby Pikachu staring. It runs off, and everyone else goes to follow, and they come upon a large clan of wild Pikachu.
Ash’s Pikachu gets...
Pokemon Adventures: Onix is on!
Red gets his first badge! Yayyy!
So Red’s ready to go through the preliminaries, but he has no choice to use his Bulbasaur and Poliwhirl. He manages to sweep through everyone with one turn, and he’s got the advantage anyway, so it only makes sense. (Holy shit, Pokemon used logic for once? WORLD IS ENDING OH GOD)
Brock’s all “Yeaaah an opponent worthy of me” while...
New Years Countdown: 2001
Our next year is 2001, bringing a few more games to the franchise. The more important one, without a doubt, was Pokemon Crystal.
The “sequel” to GS, Crystal added on to the storyline of Johto. Suicune played the main role this time, and it even got its own fancy intro. (Which was my favorite intro, and probably still is.)
Crystal also brought in a new feature that became instantly...
New Years Countdown: Pokemon games of the decade
Reaching from 2000 to our current 2010, there were MANY Pokemon games that swept through the stores and into our homes. Other than the mainstream games, spinoffs were introduced, which filled in that nice gap between the next mainstream game and the next.
I’ll probably cover those, briefly, but that’s really it. Our main focus here are, as said, the mainstream games.
Starting with...
Reblog if your mom is beautiful.
Plot hole Monday
Why is it that
You can carry a fuckload of Pokeballs in your bag, and all these items…
…yet you can only carry 6 pokemon at a time? I guess Pokeballs are heavier if they have animals stuffed inside them or something.
Pokemon of the week
Today’s Pokemon shall be none other than…
I like Ampharos. It may be a pretty slow Pokemon, but they can really kick a lot of ass if you raise one right. I’ve raised Ampharos twice, once in Platinum and once in HeartGold. I remember the little guy saved my ass with its static ability, which is awesome. If a Pokemon comes it contact, there’s a 30 percent chance of your...

Nostalgia Thursday: The Tower of Terror
No, it’s not the ride at Disney that’ll make you shit yourself.
So basically after being curbstomped by Sabrina, Ash needs to go capture himself a ghost Pokemon to combat her psychic ones. Which means Lavender Town. And Pokemon Tower. And the source of nightmare fuel for everyone.
ughgodthattowndontkillmeghost
It gets awfully foggy and shit, and Brock’s all “everyone...
So my next Sculpey project is gonna be Giratina… Origin Forme Giratina.
Wish me luck on this, guys? It’s gonna take a while to get it looking amazing…
Pokemon Adventures: Wanted! Pikachu
‘bout damn time this manga gets really interesting.
Red arrives in Pewter City, and sees everyone is after this Pikachu that’s running around. Being himself, Red goes to attempt to capture it.
…I’m not too sure what Bulbasaur did here. It shoots a seed at Pikachu and bam, it’s captured. And then Red gets treated like a hero and gets this mighty feast. Damn, I wish I...
you are now aware that Wailord can also breed with Diglett and other various small Pokemon. Other than Skitty.
Isn’t breeding great?
